Installing Freshtel internet phone

Downloading the Freshtel internet on-screen phone software

Upon inserting the internet phone CD the following screen will appear. 

Press the Download button to check for an internet connection and download the installation software. During this process a Firewall message may pop-up. The user should click to allow access to the internet at this point.

You should click “Run” at any prompts asking you to “run” or “save”

Running the Freshtel internet phone installation tool

When you run the Installer, you’ll see this screen:

Click the Next > button and follow the prompts to install. If you do not have a copy of the Installation guide, click the link in the above window to download a PDF version now.

The second screen requires you to read and agree to the Freshtel internet phone License Agreement. Be sure to read the complete agreement before selecting I accept the agreement. You can then click Next > to continue.

This screen will prompt you to choose the Quick Installation or Advanced Installation method.  The only difference between to two is that Advanced Installation allows you to specify the file install location. If you choose Quick Installation, the next 4 screens are skipped.

This option lets you choose the install location for Freshtel internet phone. The default location is already entered into the text box. You can leave it set to the default, type in a new location or use the Browse… button to choose an existing folder. Click Next > when you are ready to continue.

Here you can choose the title of the Shortcut Folder in the Start Menu. You can leave it set to the default, type in a new title or use the Browse… button to choose an existing folder. Click Next > when you are ready to continue.

This screen lets you choose to create a Desktop Icon for the Freshtel internet phone. This option is on by default. If you do not want a desktop icon you can un-tick the box. 
Click Next > when you are ready to continue.

You are now ready to install the Freshtel internet phone. Once you have confirmed that all the listed details are correct, click the Install button to continue.

This screen shows you the install progress. The status bar will fill up with green as the Freshtel internet phone installs. Once completed, you will be taken to the next step automatically.

You have now successfully installed the Freshtel internet phone!

The Registration Wizard will not start automatically.
